You must use -4 [6 mm (1/4 in.) ID] or larger hoses for all hydraulic connections, including the return line.
Apply marine corrosion inhibitor spray to the pump body and manifold, re-applying annually to extend life.
This pump must not be installed with a steering system that has an unvented reservoir because it will damage the pump.
Mount horizontally if possible. If mounting vertically, the pump head connectors must face up.
If you cannot mount the pump horizontally, mount it vertically with the pump head connectors facing up.
You cannot install this pump on a system with an unbalanced cylinder.
You can install a check valve accessory to prevent gradual steering to one side during standby mode.
This pump is only for use with Garmin autopilot systems. Using it with other systems may cause damage.
Do not use thread seal tape or thread putty; only use a recommended liquid thread sealant and follow cure times strictly.
