Overview
1 kW The SS175M’s medium frequency delivers the right combination of coverage under the boat, extended depth range, and the ability to produce clean and accurate target and structure returns in mid to deeper water.
Medium frequency also provides excellent shallow to mid-depth performance, bottom detail, and fish-target separation.
Operating at a frequency range of 85 to 135 kHz, this transducer reveals fish at medium depths of up to 457 m (1500′) and delivers ultra-clear target resolution. Airmar’s Tilted Element ™ transducers have the element fixed at a 20°, 12°, or 0° angle within the housing. Because the transducer is installed almost flush to the hull, the tilt corrects for the hull deadrise.
It orients the ceramic element horizontally to ensure maximum echo returns to the transducer.
The SS175M is available in three Tilted Element models: Fixed 20° tilted version for 16 to 24° hull deadrise angles Fixed 12° tilted version for 8 to 15° hull deadrise angles Fixed 0° tilted version for 0 to 7° hull deadrise angles This transducer is available in two options: one with an OEM connector designed specifically for your fishfinder, and another as a Mix and Match™ Transducer version.
The Mix and Match™ transducer has a 9-meter (29.5’) cable with a standard connector, plus a 1-meter (3’) adapter cable to connect it to your fishfinder. When placing your order, make sure you know which connector type your fishfinder requires.

FAQs
What connector types do I need to order for installation?
Choose between an OEM connector specific to your fishfinder or a Mix and Match version; check fishfinder requirements before ordering.
How does the Tilted Element feature affect installation?
The element is fixed at an angle within the housing to correct for hull deadrise, orienting it horizontally for maximum echo returns.
How is the ceramic element oriented inside the housing?
The element is fixed at an angle inside the housing so it is horizontal when installed, ensuring maximum echo return.
How long is the cable included with the Mix and Match transducer version?
The Mix and Match transducer version includes a 9-meter (29.5’) cable with a standard connector, plus a 1-meter (3’) adapter cable.
Is the SS175M compatible with CHIRP technology?
Yes, it is CHIRP-ready and supports single-band operation in the specified frequency range.
Are there multiple cable or connector types for the SS175M?
Yes, it is available with either an OEM connector for specific fishfinders or as a Mix and Match version with a standard connector.
How do I choose the correct tilt angle for my boat hull?
Select 20° tilt for 16-24°, 12° tilt for 8-15°, or 0° tilt for 0-7° hull deadrise angles for proper horizontal orientation.
How much does the SS175M transducer weigh?
The transducer weighs 2.7 kg (6 lb.).
